The stories that are not told

Perhaps because I never felt represented in the famous narrative of the hero’s journey, the one that is taught endlessly in film and writing schools, and that focuses on the individualistic epic and the conflict to be resolved, I always tended to put my look at those other stories from the margins, silent, unnoticed, full of losses and failures, of interactions with others and with a world from which we do not always draw valuable lessons, but sometimes it simply turns its back on us and makes us feel lost.

Where do untold stories go? All those other stories that were expelled from the construction of our own story and the creation of our identity; those that were relegated, hidden, as if they had never existed. Because, believe it or not, we are made of stories: people, communities, countries, the world, everything. And our lives are built around them.
