The head of the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Soria has sentenced her four brothers and legitimate children of the aristocrat to pay her 1.2 million euros.
The sentence, issued this Monday, condemns the four children of Leoncio González de Gregorio – biological father of the plaintiff and husband of the also known as ‘red duchess’ – to pay Bermudo that amount, equivalent to his share of the inheritance. This was reported to ‘ABC’ by the Duke’s stepdaughter’s lawyer, Fernando Osuna.
It will be the plaintiff’s sister, Pilar, who must pay most of the 1.2 million. In total, he will have to pay 800,000 euros, since he received an improved inheritance. The other three sons of the dukes, Javier, Gabriel and Leoncio, will contribute the remaining amount. The money, according to the ruling, must be paid “in cash” and those convicted will not be able to pay either part or all with material possessions.
The ruling forces the legitimate children of the marquis to also pay the costs of the trial, which amount to approximately 100,000 euros. Regarding the possibility of appealing the sentence, the lawyer details that it exists, but that it may not be convenient for those convicted: “We could win again, and the coasts would skyrocket”. Furthermore, it highlights that, if they opt for this option, they will request immediate execution of the payment.
It was on December 5, 2018 when the head of Court Number 77 of Madrid recognized Bermudo, who is now 72 years old, as the legitimate heir after providing a DNA test to the process. with 99.99% match with the dukethe maximum that can be obtained.
