A year ago Eldiario.es revealed that businessman Alberto González Amador, a couple of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, had disappointed 350,000 euros to the Treasury through a plot of false invoices and screen companies. Since then, the president of the Community of Madrid has tried to present her partner as a victim of a “state operation” that would have the ultimate goal to attack her. It is a strategy with which you have tried to suspect the initial inspection of the Treasury, all the investigation and the final complaint. And in which he has even pointed to “prosecutors and officials” who, in his words, would like to send him “cyanide droplets.”
It is a story that, however, refutes the statements made in judicial headquarters – as witnesses, with the obligation to tell the truth – by officials directly involved in the case. First were prosecutors Julián Salto and Almudena Lastra, who held last January in the Supreme Court that neither in the Madrid Prosecutor’s Office nor in the Attorney General’s Office knew who González Amador was until days after the case was in the hands of the judges. This Friday, it was the Finance Inspectors who discovered fraud who said they did not know that it was Ayuso’s couple when they investigated. His testimonies, therefore, disassemble the thesis of the political persecution that Ayuso and his cabinet have wielded since this medium revealed the double fiscal fraud of his partner.
This Friday, the Judge of Madrid Immaculate Iglesias cited the inspectors signed by the report of the Tax Agency that gave rise to the complaint of the Prosecutor’s Office that attributed to González Amador two crimes of fiscal fraud in the Corporation Tax for 155,000 euros in 2020 and another 195,951.41 euros the following year. The statement of the file instructor, which explained the report in a detailed way, extended for almost three hours.
At one point in the statement, González Amador’s lawyer asked him if she and her companion knew that her defendant was a couple of the Madrid president while they did the inspection. According to knowledgeable sources of the content of the statement, the officials denied that they then knew who González Amador was and added that, in any case, their romantic relationship with Ayuso is irrelevant for a farm inspector if they are not married or are de facto couple. The two officials ratified the conclusions of that report that is at the origin of the judicial problems of the businessman and commission.
Ayuso’s environment dedicated his efforts to keep his partner in anonymity when he transcended in 2021 that they maintained a relationship. Presented as a “health technician” in the first chronicles, González Amador was actually an entrepreneur who worked for the Quironic health giant and who had enriched himself with millionaire commissions during the pandemic in operations of sale of masks thanks to the commission of a company that administered his direct boss in the sanitary giant.
An alleged plot against “an individual”
Once the exclusive Eldiario.es on the complaint that the Prosecutor’s Office had filed against him for defrauding 350,000 euros, the strategy of Ayuso and his chief of cabinet, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez was known, was to draw an alleged plot of the State against “a individual” to harm the regional president. However, the testimonies of different officials disassemble that story.
One of them is that of the Chief Prosecutor of the Community of Madrid, Almudena Lastra, very critical for months with the management of the State Attorney General, who is investigated in the Supreme Court for allegedly disseminating reserved information from the Ayuso couple. Lastra appeared last January as a witness in the framework of that cause and said that he did not know until March 7, 2024 who was denounced in that case of fiscal fraud. That is, two days after the complaint was filed in the courts of the Plaza de Castilla in Madrid. And almost two years after the Treasury began its tax research, which happened in May 2022.
Julián Salto is the prosecutor specializing in economic crimes that assumed the investigation of the Treasury and ended up denouncing González Amador. His proceedings started on January 23, 2024 and on March 5 of that year he filed the complaint in the Courts of Madrid. As he said in the Supreme, he learned that González Amador was a couple of Ayuso three days later, on March 8, when one of his superiors, Virna Alonso, told him. Once he knew, in addition, he had the deference to send the complaint to the businessman’s lawyer instead of making him wait for him to arrive via judicial weeks later.
In addition, the electronic messages and emails intervened by the Central Operating Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard on the telephone of Pilar Rodríguez, the provincial prosecutor accused, also point in the same address: when the complaint was filed in the Court, in the prosecution they did not know who González Amador was.
In fact, its cause did not reach the body’s dome until the end of the first week of March, two months after the opening of proceedings, once the complaint was filed and almost two years after the beginning of the fiscal inspection. A few hours after the exclusive of Eldiario.es, Ayuso came to blame the process against his partner that the provincial prosecutor was a high position of justice with José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
