The profile committee of the State Duma supported the candidacies of Savelyev and Starovoit to the Cabinet of Ministers
The State Duma Committee on Transport and Development of Transport Infrastructure supported the candidacy of the Governor of the Kursk Region Roman Starovoit for the post of Minister of Transport and the candidacy of Vitaly Savelyev for the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Transport. Deputy Sultan Khamzaev reported this, quoting him RIA News.
“It was noted that Starovoit’s experience in managing the Kursk region will be useful in his work, including understanding what is happening “on the ground.” Savelyev showed his effectiveness, so he received the post of Deputy Prime Minister,” said the parliamentarian.
On May 11, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin submitted a new composition of the Russian government to the State Duma for consideration. Press Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Boris Belyakov then announced a new position of specialized deputy prime minister, for which Savelyev was proposed as a candidate.
The State Duma will consider the candidacies of nominated deputy prime ministers on May 13, and the candidacies of ministers a day later, on May 14. Mishustin submitted for consideration proposals for a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers in accordance with the Constitution and the Federal Law “On the Government of the Russian Federation.”
