We will soon be in a world where partisan cries will be raised against anyone who says cows have horns
G.K. Chesterton
Before we had Nostradamus and now we had the mathematicians who were disciples of Pythagoras, you know, “all known things have numbers.” The thing about the prophecies was a bit far-fetched from the interpreter and the thing about the year of the perfect square (45×45), probably the only one we will live like this in our lives, has everything scientific until someone jumps out and says that the last one that had that characteristic was 1936 (44×44) and everything turns into a nervous giggle and a question about what we’re getting into. No superstition reaches us, neither numerical nor divinatory. After all, who predicted the pandemic or the destructive DANA? What mathematical formula do I advance them?
