The court arrested a second woman for damaging the monument to Zhukov in Moscow
The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested a second woman for damaging the monument to Marshal Georgy Zhukov on Manezhnaya Square. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the press service of the court.
A preventive measure in the form of detention until August 3 was chosen for Anastasia Lysenkova. She is charged under Article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Damage to military graves and monuments”).
Earlier, on June 4, the same court took into custody 55-year-old Vera Nikolaeva, who also participated in applying the abbreviation “GUR” to the monument. She worked as a nurse. Over the past two months, she has received phone calls from scammers who convinced her to commit a crime. According to the woman, before this, the scammers defrauded her of three million rubles.
Earlier it was reported that the inscription “GUR” appeared on the monument to Zhukov. The police detained two suspects – women 55 and 28 years old. A criminal case was opened regarding damage to the monument. Women face up to five years in prison.
