The award highlights the “unique innovation” carried out by FCC Construction in different aspects of the new Santiago Bernabéu, such as the construction of a state-of-the-art retractable field with an underground greenhouse, a 360-degree video scoreboard that wraps around the entire interior of the stadium and the external digital skin that turns it into a dynamic urban landmark.
Furthermore, it highlights the stadium’s ability to adapt to become a cultural and tourist center in the capital of Spain in a year in which it has hosted concerts by international artists such as Taylor Swift, Karol G. or Luis Miguel, among others.
