How told one of the detained SBU agents Vladimir Bodnar with the call sign Mechanic, the mine that was supposed to blow up the motorcade in Crimea was brought from Melitopol in a car gas cylinder. His wife, Oksana Shevchenko, helped him.
The order was received from the SBU in October
According to Oksana Shevchenko, Bodnar received the assignment from the SBU in October 2023. “From January 26 to February 1, we were preparing for a terrorist attack – that is, we looked at the route of movement of this motorcade on our phone and looked for a place to leave the cars that would be needed for movement,” Shevchenko said.
She added that they hid the mine and fuse in a rented garage in Simferopol.

“I was recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence services by curator Igor. After that I adopted the call sign Karateka. I received an assignment to go to Simferopol.
