The Russian Embassy in Iran called on compatriots not to panic
Russian citizens in Iran were urged to refrain from taking photos and videos on the streets and not to give in to the panic that “ill-wishers are trying to sow on social networks.” This appeal was issued by the Russian Embassy in Tehran in an official Telegram-channel.
“The situation in the country requires calm and composure,” the message says. “We are waiting for official notifications from the authorities about the resumption of operations at Iranian airports.”
Diplomats also warned their compatriots that the embassy and all Russian foreign agencies in Iran are operating as usual.
Previously, Russians were urged to refuse to visit Lebanon due to massive missile attacks from Israel. Russian Ambassador to the Middle Eastern country Alexander Rudakov warned about the danger.
