Assault units of the Vostok group of troops attacked a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a forest belt in one of the sections of the South Donetsk direction. Footage of the crews' combat work on January 9 was published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The unit advanced to enemy positions under cover of heavy machine gun fire. Fire support for the group was provided by artillery located in camouflaged, closed positions.
“The task was set to pass through the forest belt, the task was completed. The coherence of the guys is excellent, everyone understands each other, everyone stands for each other,” said the squad leader with the call sign Kozhev.
The advance of the assault group in particularly dangerous areas was adjusted by the calculation of the FPV drone, which in real time transmitted information about newly identified targets and adjustments to artillery fire to the command post.
“We entered the forest belt, secretly approached the strong point, carried out an assault, captured and cleared the trenches. The enemy was destroyed, there were no casualties – everyone is alive and well,” said the group commander with the call sign Skull.
As a result, the task of capturing a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold located in a forest belt was successfully completed without losses among the group’s personnel.
