For Cliff Dorfman, the screenwriter of Warrior and Entourage, The Crow remake sucks and whoever says so is simply right. Dorfman has been involved in the Project on several occasions, as he wrote two draft screenplays for the reboot, one in 2012 and one in 2014, both of which were discarded. If that seems like a long time ago, consider that the new Corvo has been in the works for about fifteen years. More than GTA 6.
Derogatory words
Dorfman is not credited in any way in the new film, but it seems he has already been seen at a dedicated event. Unfortunately he wasn’t very kind towards the work he has quickly reviewed in a post on his X account: “If you hypothetically saw a preview of @TheCrow_Movie that @Lionsgate is releasing in August, you might say it’s awful, it’s unwatchable, and you might advise not to waste your money, or you can’t believe how much worse it is than the original. It is. Don’t go see it.”
Is it really that terrible? Evidently Dorfman has a bone to pick with the production of the film, otherwise he wouldn’t have used it such contemptuous words and harsh to describe it. Something must have happened behind the scenes that we don’t know about.
The “The Crow” reboot hits theaters on August 23. The new Eric Draven will be played by Bill Skarsgård. Will he be able to hold his own against Brandon Lee? Alongside her will be FKA twigs in the role of Shelly Webster. At this point we are curious to see it, to find out if Dorfman’s judgment is well founded or if it is the result of personal issues.
