The remake of Silent Hill 2 has given a lot to talk about in recent years, but the news is usually not positive. Although at the moment there is no release date for this title, Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, The team behind this project has indicated that the game will arrive this year.
According to a recent leak, Babieno revealed in a recent meeting with shareholders that the development of the remake of Silent Hill 2 is in its final stages of production, and expect the release date to be revealed in the future nearby. This is what he commented:
“We are in the last stage of production (on Silent Hill 2).
We can expect promotional material, with the release date and platforms our game will appear on in the near future.”
With this, Babieno pointed out that Konami has planned a launch for 2024. Notably, his comment mentions confirmation of the platforms on which the remake will be available. We know that Silent Hill 2 will be available on PS5 and PC, so this may just be a bug, and not a hint at an Xbox version.
Although there is no mention of when more information will be available, with the June events just a few weeks away, it is likely that in the summer we will see a PlayStation presentation, where the remake of Silent Hill 2 be one of the great revelations.
