TOLEDO.- Castilla-La Mancha will request the Government of Spain for catastrophic zone declarationa for the places affected by DANA “so that all the damage that has occurred at a material level can be addressed”, although he has specified that at this time “the priority is people”.

Padilla explained that “now we are assisting the families of the victims who may arrive; and also the families of the missing people who are being informed of the work that is being done”; at the same time that he has recognized “all the efforts” in the search for those people who remain missing in the region.

After the heavy rainfall recorded in the town of Mira (Cuenca), the activation of the Military Emergency Unit and the members of the Infocam Plan were also requested.
According to Padilla, the total number of calls to line 112 in the region after the passage of DANA was 4,668. Throughout his speech, Padilla also had words of gratitude for the autonomous communities that “have offered us their solidarity and signs of support to be able to help us in the work that is now being carried out.” Similarly, Castilla La Mancha has also collaborated with the Valencian Community, he noted. “Although here in Castilla La Mancha it is hard, what has happened in the Valencian Community is very serious and we have also had the capacity to help them and the media from Castilla-La Mancha have collaborated there,” he concluded.
On the other hand, he also recalled that the Government of Castilla-La Mancha constantly reports on data of public interest related to DANA through the cWhatsAPP anal from the Community Board. It will continue to broadcast uninterrupted messages about the impact of urban and interurban areas, road closures, mobility restrictions and any relevant data for the population in this emergency situation.
