The municipal program 'Networks for free time' offers 850 places for the next quarter to carry out 50 different activities, with the aim of providing “a healthy leisure alternative to the population between 12 and 30 years old,” the councilor explained yesterday. of Young Talent and Public Spaces of the City Council, Sofía López-Briones. The programming begins next Thursday, April 18 and will last until Saturday, June 29, and the activities are divided into three groups: recreational, with 12 different activities; training with 19 workshops; and nature and adventure, with 19 others.
Among the latter, there are kayaking and diving in Cabo de Palos; descent of the Segura in Calasparra, and a 'Stand Up Paddle Surf' route in La Manga. These activities are added to others “with great success in demand by young people”, such as those related to hiking routes, 'paintball' and sport climbing.
Among the aquatic activities, with 450 places, the multi-aquatic adventure in Los Alcázares also stands out; hiking in the Chícamo River (Abanilla), Barranco de Anna (Valencia); and kayaking and diving in Cabo de Palos.
