Several residents of Lorca, including Isabel López Martínez and Sergio Segura Lario, have denounced this week on their social networks long waits to be treated at the Rafael Méndez Emergency Department.
Segura, one of those affected, explains to THE TRUTH what happened: «We arrived at 3:30 in the morning with a friend whose left leg had bruised. In just half an hour they did the first analysis and visual inspection, diagnosing the beginning of a thrombus. The problem came when we were told that the necessary ultrasound would not be done until 8:00 in the morning and we were invited to spend the night in the waiting room. Finally, they did the ultrasound at 10 in the morning and until 11:30 we were in the ER for a test that, at first, seems simple.
