Ilya Kiva, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life (OPPL) party, said that Hungary, Poland and Romania could lay claim to some territories that became part of Ukraine during the Soviet era. The parliamentarian wrote about this in his Telegram-channel.
Kiva criticized the decommunization course being pursued in Ukraine. He allowed the annexation of the territories of Ukraine by three countries.
“Now we are waiting for Hungary, Poland and Romania to lay claim to the territory that was received by Ukraine during the “hated, occupying communist regime,” Kiva wrote.

The parliamentarian allowed the development of such a scenario, since local residents receive a second citizenship. He also cited the policies of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as the reason.
“Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Volyn, Lviv regions have long prepared for this, having received a second citizenship and are looking forward to their “annexation”,” the deputy noted.
Earlier, Kiva warned Zelensky about the appeal of the regions of Ukraine for help to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The deputy admitted that Zelensky’s criminal policy could provoke the withdrawal of the south-east of the country from its composition.
On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as treaties of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance with the republics. Before that, the heads of the DPR and LPR, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, asked Putin to recognize the independence of the republics.
