Queen Letizia has thanked Cáritas, the Red Cross, the Spanish Volunteer Platform, the European Network to Fight Poverty and Social Exclusion (EAPN) and the Children’s Platform for their help to the victims of DANA in a meeting held this Saturday, as reported by sources from the Royal Family.
In this way, the Queen has seen first-hand the work of these organizations to help the recovery of the area affected by DANA.
He also thanked the entities for their work to respond to the current and future basic needs of the affected people with the aim of achieving a recovery with a “social focus” that “lasts over time.”
Specifically, this Saturday’s meeting was attended by the president of Cáritas Española, Manuel Bretón; the president of the EAPN in Spain, Carlos Susías; the president of the Spanish Volunteer Platform and the Permanent Commission of the Third Sector Platform, Luciano Poyato; the president of the Spanish Children’s Platform, Carles López, and the general vice coordinator of the Spanish Red Cross, Daniel Fernández Gómez.
Along these lines, it is worth remembering that last Thursday the Queen held a similar meeting with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), ONCE, the Mental Health Confederation and the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI).
