The Socialists denounce that Carrera’s appointment was irregular and ask that parliamentary activity be suspended until the mess is resolved
The Socialist Parliamentary Group presented this Friday a letter addressed to the Regional Assembly of Murcia in which it requests that the appointment of Francisco José Carrera de la Fuente as interim spokesperson for the Mixed Group be annulled, returning this condition to the deputy of Podemos Maria Marin.
The brief was presented as soon as the Board of Spokespersons began, the first to be held after the recomposition of the Mixed Group after the passing to it of the deputies Pascual Salvador, Mabel Campuzano, Francisco Carrera and Juan José Liarte. The Socialists requested, without success, that the meeting be suspended until the legal services resolve their request, warning that the agreements adopted this Friday may be null and void.
The PSOE sees it as contradictory that the Board, in its extraordinary meeting last Monday, agreed to the loss of María Marín’s status as spokesperson, considering that, with the reorganization of the Mixed Group, its internal operating regulations had declined, to the Once he was appealed to appoint Carrera as temporary spokesman, by virtue of the alphabetical order of the surnames of the 8 deputies of the Mixed.
The PSOE considers that, if the Mixed Group regulation is applied to revoke María Marín, it cannot be appealed to provisionally appoint Carrera, so it demands that the previous deputy of Podemos be returned to her previous condition. In the event that this request is not accepted, the Socialists propose a draw to elect the temporary spokesperson of the Mixed Group until these deputies agree on their new regulations, or the Table imposes it.
Until then, the Socialists demand that all the meetings called by the Board of Spokespersons, which is the body that orders parliamentary activity, be suspended.
