The new Astro Bot was announced and presented with a trailer during the recent State of Play and for many it represented the best moment of the event, with a video full of references, quotes and elements to analyse, in which for some it would also hide PS5 Pro.
The question arises precisely from the style used by Sony and Asobi to present the new Astro Bot: the trailer published on the occasion of the State of Play is constructed as a quick montage of gameplay and cutscenes that show an enormous variety of game and also a large amount of references to the world of PlayStation.
Between easter eggs and parodies, in the video we can see a large amount of references to other PlayStation Studios series and various well-known characters, but according to some, that bizarre console that appears at a certain point in the video could be the famous PS5 Pro.
A strange PS5, which however seems like the standard one
The frame in question was taken by numerous X accounts, including journalists and newspapers, who in a more or less joking tone asked if it could be a PS5 Pro.
In fact, the console that emerges in the video looks a little different from the standard PS5, which also appears in other moments of the trailer with an appearance that is decidedly closer to the real one of the machine, but whether it could be a new model is rather doubt.
In fact, the console shown in that fragment of the Astro Boy trailer appears to be one normal PS5 without the side cover plates: While a similar design for a possible new console model isn’t ruled out, it’s quite unlikely that the PS5 Pro will simply be the same as a standard PS5 without the covers.
In any case, this is just another demonstration of the interest generated by the Astro Bot trailer, almost unanimously considered the most interesting game shown during an event which, in general, did not exactly warm the hearts of fans .
