The Provincial Prosecutor of Valencia has opened investigation proceedings for an alleged crime of hatred against Daniel Esteve, owner of the company ‘Desokupa’, after a complaint of ‘Action against hate‘. It is a preprocessal phase to practice the necessary proceedings that determine if the facts denounced would be constitutive of an alleged crime of hate.
The Public Ministry received the complaint on February 9, in a letter that “informs racist messages in the social network X that associates crime with immigration,” according to the decree signed by the Chief Prosecutor of Valencia.
The entity denounced the “systematic incitement to hatred by the ultra -rightist owner of the company Desokupa against the collective of migrants based on bulos and lies that, on many occasions, he himself manufactures.”
The “person considered suspicious” of being behind the account on the social network owned by Elon Musk denounced would be Daniel Esteve, says the brief of the Public Ministry. Prosecutor Susana Gisbert, specialized in hate crimes, has assumed the investigation proceedings.
The decree of the Provincial Prosecutor of Valencia, on March 10, explains that it has been agreed to ask the Police to issue a report on the “place from which the messages of the reported account are issued”.
