The Popular Party of Madrid has included the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in its list of those appearing for the Assembly’s investigative commission that will seek to elucidate whether there was favorable treatment between the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and his wife, Begoña. Also included in the list are the former rector of the UCM Carlos Andradas, the former vice-rector of Institutional Relations and Cooperation of the UCM Juan Carlos Doadrio, the dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the UCM, Jorge Clemente; or the general secretary of the UCM, Raquel Aguilera Izquierdo.
The PP has also called for other positions linked to the master’s degrees headed by Begoña Gómez (Directorate of Public and Private Fundraising and Competitive Social Transformation) and her chair, in addition to workers from the UCM School of Government.
Likewise, the PP places on its list the businessman Juan Carlos Barrabés, whose company was a collaborator with Gómez’s chair and who is being investigated by Judge Juan Carlos Peinado in the case that also involves the president’s wife. It also includes representatives of other companies that may have benefited from the alleged favorable treatment.
