The power of love, the famous international couples reality show featuring Shirley Arica and Austin Palao, was announced by Latina Televisión with great fanfare in August 2021. Initially, the Turkish format was broadcast in 12 countries, including Peru. However, channel 2 stopped showing it on its grill a few weeks after its premiere.
Austin Palao revealed the reason why they would have taken her out of the days Saturdays at 11.00 pm.

The power of love, why not pass it through Latina?
According to the video that Austin Palao shared on Instagram, in response to his followers, it was the low tuning he received to the cSkip in a prime time slot like Artist of the Year and JB on ATV.
In a live broadcast, the former reality boy cleared up some doubts from fans of the Turkish production.
“It happens with the Latina channel that there was no space on their grill and well, it happened once a week, on Saturdays at 11.00. So, I was competing with a program that didn’t help much in terms of rating ”, said the Peruvian from Turkey.

In that sense, he also pointed out that if The Power of Love had been on another schedule, things would have been different. “It would be a success in Peru as much as it is in the rest of the countries,” he added.
How much rating was The Power of Love?
Since its first broadcast in August, the reality show for couples has not been able to lead the rating on Saturdays for Latina. At that premiere, the international format reached 4.3 points.
After some broadcasts, the space was transferred entirely to Latina Play. Later, the complete programs -from chapter 29- onwards- stopped uploading to the platform.

Colombian Sebastián Tamayo and Shirley Arica made up one of the most controversial couples in the reality show recorded in the city of Istanbul. Therefore, his followers were surprised why they decided to end their romance.
“I am not a man enough to be with you. It fits me big (…) My place is not here, sorry for wasting so much time. That does not mean that I love you. The only thing I’ve been is being stupid (…) I don’t have a place in this house, I don’t deserve it. You deserve better than me ”, was Tamayo’s controversial comment with which he put an end to the brief relationship that the influencers had.
