The National Police have arrested five people in Ceuta, including a woman, for, allegedly, make fraudulent contracts to foreign footballers to obtain your residence in Spain. According to sources close to the investigation, in the operation, carried out in a home in the city, five minors who were hiding in the house have also been located.
The first investigations indicate that the network recruited young South American players, through social networks, to whom they were offered to study and play football. Thus, the young athletes entered Spain with falsified documentation, making them pass as students to obtain authorization for entry.
The detainees are related to crimes against the rights of foreign citizens, as well as document falsification.
According to what sources close to the investigation and eyewitnesses to the events informed EFE, The operation took place this Wednesday with the participation of agents from the Immigration Unitas well as other units, some of them displaced from Madrid.
During the police action, they intervened in a house located on Cuesta Parisiana, in the Hadú neighborhood, inside which five minors were located.
Both the detainees and the minors were transferred to the headquarters of the National Police Headquarters of Ceuta in a operation that remains under summary secrecy.
