IllFonic, author of Predator: Hunting Groundsannounced that the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S towards the end of 2024. It might seem like small news, but it's actually big news as the game was previously exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PC.
Sony has now sold the rights to the game to IllFonic who will make a current-gen version of Predator: Hunting Grounds. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of the game will be made with Unreal Engine 4.27Vivox and Wwise, for a “next generation” product in the words of the team.
Before PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the Predator: Hunting Grounds update
The official press release also indicates that the Predator: Hunting Grounds patch 2.49 for PS4 and PC (Epic Games Store and Steam). This will introduce a series of new features:
- Improved player movement
- Fireteam weapon rework and balancing
- Predator weapon balance
- Improved gameplay and user experience
In winter 2024 and spring 2025 there will also be new Predators coming to the game.
Recall that Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetric shooter game in which a group of soldiers must clash against a single Predator. The humans must complete their mission before the Predator finds them and eliminates them all one by one.
