The comedy opens its house and stage on Muntaner Street. The old one Sala Muntaner in Barcelona will reopen its doors this Tuesday in a new theater after six years closed. The producer cuts the red cable, with Sandra Reyes and Tony Cano in front, they start the space again, now focused on comedywith monologues and improvisation performances, among others.
The historic hall raises the curtain and the production company will offer, as the main show, the production of the same title ‘Cut the red cable’ that has been triumphing on the Madrid billboard for years. Along with this show there will also be others with humor as their backbone and with titles such as ‘Nozing’, from Ulala productions, ‘Endorphin traffickers’ by Toni Cano, or ‘Parent things‘, by Raúl Massana.
It will be the rebirth of a Barcelona space that had great success for almost twenty-five years, programmed by the businessman Josep Maria Coll. The history of the hall, however, begins as Sala Emporium, in 1927, a dance hall that would later become Muntaner 4, with cabaret shows, and, finally, Shadows and Metrópolis.
