In fact, the city circuit of the Saudi town of the same name, located a few kilometers away from the capital Riyadh, will officially turn on the green light for the eighth season of the top series reserved for electric single-seaters. A day that will inaugurate several innovations from a regulatory point of view and in the composition of the line-up, but which does not also exclude significant changes in the calendar, which will indeed welcome new cities and nations. The season, which will develop until mid-August, will develop well 16 rounds overall, all established by the FIA ​​World Council.

THE NEWS AND THE EXCLUDED
The element that arouses most curiosity is inevitably linked to the new entries of the world championship, with three appointments making their absolute debut in the category. The first to appear on the international scene will be theJakarta e-prix, in Indonesia, scheduled for June 4 as the 9th round of the season. The next stage, the one set for 2 July, will instead see the debut of theVancouver e-prix, in Canada. Last but not least, the venue of the last two stages of the championship will be South Korea, which will host the double appointment with theSeoul E-prix just before August 15th. Speaking of cities that will host two rounds, Seoul will be joined by other prestigious and not indifferent venues even for the Italian public: in fact, after Diriyah (Round 1 and 2), it will be Rome the scene of two battles on the EUR Circuit, which will have its eyes on 9 and 10 April for the dispute of 4th and 5th round. In addition to Eternal City, will not miss the ‘double’ in Berlin, New York and London. However, finally, the Covid-19 pandemic has ruled out the possibility of being able to witness the entry into the scene of Cape Town, South Africa, in addition to the great return of Beijing, where Formula E played the first E-prix in its history. .
