Rescue work at the scene of the accident involving 50 vehicles continues. Rescuers have set up heating points along the highway where people can drink hot tea and charge their phones. Psychologists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on site.
68 specialists and 27 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the accident. Despite the bad weather, it was possible to make full use of aviation.
An accident on the M-11 Neva highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg occurred on the afternoon of January 8. About 50 cars collided. As a result, it was not possible to save four people, including one child. The cause of the massive accident was deteriorating weather conditions.
