Sergio Perez, Mexican driver, will continue with the team Formula 1 Red Bull Racing until the 2026 season, the team said this Tuesday.
“‘Checo’ Pérez’s current agreement, signed in 2022, expired at the end of the current campaign, but Red Bull has decided to keep him in its ranks for at least the next two seasons,” said the EFE agency.
And he added: “The Mexican’s renewal implies that he will complete his fifth season at Red Bull in 2025, where he arrived in 2011 from Racing Point (now Aston Martin).
“I am very happy to commit my future to this great team. It’s a challenge like no other to run for Oracle Red Bull Racing, both on the track and off it. “I am delighted to stay here to continue our journey together and contribute to the great history of this team for two more years,” said Pérez.
“Being part of the team is an immense challenge. We have a big challenge this year and I have full confidence in the entire team that the future is bright here and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Pérez thanked “everyone for the trust they have placed in me. It’s a lot and I want to repay it with excellent results on the track, and off it. I think we have a lot of work to do, we have many Championships left to win together.”
