Nintendo is a company with a long history, not only within the video game industry, but as a company with more than 100 years in the entertainment market. In this way, many have eagerly awaited the opening of the Nintendo museum. After a delay, It has finally been confirmed when the doors of this museum will open.
Through your more recent report as part of the end of the fiscal year, Nintendo has confirmed that the construction of its museum in Kyoto has come to an end. Along with this, the company hopes to open the door to all interested parties at some point in the fall 2024 season, and at the moment there is no specific date for this celebration. This is what was said about it:
“Finally, we would like to provide an update on the status of the Nintendo Museum in Uji City, Kyoto.
The museum building is now completed and we are currently preparing for its opening. As we anticipate these preparations will take some time, we have set the opening for fall 2024.
“Going forward, we will continue to create touchpoints with consumers by promoting various initiatives that use Nintendo intellectual property in a wide range of fields.”
Although there are no concrete plans at the moment, It seems that Nintendo leaves the door open to build another similar facility in the future. We just have to see what the company’s plans are to expand its properties to new places. On related topics, Nintendo shares the first details of the Switch 2. Likewise, the Big N will continue making physical games.
Author’s Note:
I hope that the Nintendo museum is not something that only happens in Japan, and eventually we will see something similar, although not in Mexico, at least in the United States and in other parts of the world.
