Sony has officially announced the new State of Play. It will be broadcast on Thursday 30 May at 11.59pm CEST (the live broadcast will start at midnight) and will last 30 minutes. It will be dedicated to titles coming to PS5 and PS VR2, both first party and third partytherefore it will also reveal the news arriving from the world of PlayStation and can therefore be considered a major event, i.e. a sort of summer showcase for Sony, which at this point will open the dance of the season.

The PlayStation Blog promises “a more than half-hour show with 14 titles” that will be broadcast on the company’s social channels on YouTube, Twitch and TikTok. Naturally we at Multiplayer.it will also follow the event live on our Twitch channel, commenting on all the announcements that will be made. We will provide you with full details of who will be attending as soon as possible.
The announcement of the State of Play certainly does not come as a surprise, considering that it has been rumored several times in recent weeks and journalists like Jeff Grubb practically took it for granted in May, even though the end of the month has now arrived. After all there is great anticipation for Sony’s new moveswhich is currently the one with the most nebulous plans of the three console manufacturers.
As for possible announcements, in recent days there has been talk of a possible new Astro Bot game, but also of a Horizon-themed LEGO game, the Guerrilla Games series. There should also be space for Concord, whose release remains set for 2024 (will the final date be revealed during the State of Play?). We will probably also talk about the PC conversion of God of War Ragnarok, the subject of numerous rumors.
