The judge of the National Court Francisco de Jorge has processed this Friday the former heads of the terrorist organization ETA Ignacio Gracia Arregui, ‘Iñaki de Rentería’; Mikel ‘Antza’; Julián Achurra Egurola, ‘Pototo’; José Javier Arizcuren Ruiz, ‘Kantauri’, and Juan Luis Aguirre Lete, ‘Insuntza’, for planning the murder on January 23, 1995 in Donostia of the Councilor of the PP Gregorio Ordóñez. In a car, collected by Europa Press, the magistrate explains that it is a formal statement of imputation that “allows its instruction phase accuracy, allowing the first investigative statement and makes the judicial obligation to provide the defendants” of a lawyer.
The instructor, who points to the former heads of the band for a crime of terrorist murder and a crime of attack against the life of the former popular leader ‘, affects that this resolution “becomes a procedural guarantee of obligatory compliance and constitutional relevance not to cause helplessness ”to the investigated. And to do so, he points out, it is “based on data and circumstances of factual value that, representing more than a mere possibility and less than a certainty, suppose for themselves the probability of the commission of the crime.”
The magistrate assures that “the indications are first detached from the statements of the protected witnesses who work in the summary, from which it follows that the decision to commit the attack that cost the life of Gregorio Ordóñez took it in France in France Executive Committee of the Criminal Band ETA, and the order to execute it was transmitted to the ‘Donosti Command’, which put it into practice ”.
The murderer of Ordonez, Valentín Lasarte, was arrested in March 1996 and declared the way in which the attack was planned and materialized, as the judge recalls. Two years before, according to it, he met with ‘Kantauri’, he adds, in an appointment he taught the guidelines emanating from the band’s dome. The magistrate himself will listen to February 17 as a witness from 10.30 am to Lasarte.
