Russian Defense Ministry: documents confirm US work on pathogens in Ukrainian laboratories
The Pentagon is testing pathogens and toxic substances in Ukraine. Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, spoke about this during a briefing, reports RIA News.
According to the head of the RKhBZ troops, they are being tested on Ukrainian servicemen and the mentally ill. He claims that the US Department of Defense is also implementing military biological programs.
“The published documents confirm the cooperation between Kyiv and Washington, as well as attempts to establish control over pathogens in Ukrainian laboratories through the introduction of the PAKS system, elements of which were transferred under the label “property of the US government,” Kirillov said.

He also recalled the analysis of documents found in Ukrainian laboratories near the Russian border. Information on the development of biological weapons is confirmed, in particular, by agreements with the organizations Black and Vich and Metabiota, contractors of the Pentagon.
They studied natural focal and especially dangerous infections. Among other things, within the framework of the Tep-2 project, the causative agent of a dangerous bacterial infection of glanders transmitted to humans from equids (mainly horses) and accompanied by purulent lesions of the lymph nodes, skin, muscles, lungs and other internal organs was studied.
Russia considers biological laboratories near its borders a threat
On November 24, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov indicated that work is underway to develop biological weapons in the very immediate vicinity of Russia’s borders.
Americans have something to hide in their military biological activities in Ukraine
“The goal is clear – to prevent any possibility of revealing the true nature and objectives of US military biological programs,” he said. According to him, these studies in Ukraine are funded by the military departments of third countries and foreign experts are connected to them. Ryabkov added that such a situation, which is considered solely as a threat to national security, is unacceptable for Russia. The diplomat stressed that Russia would continue to fight the military-biological activities of the United States.
In August, Federation Council Vice Speaker Konstantin Kosachev admitted that if there are technologies for developing biological weapons and there are practical skills to use these technologies in practice, then there are no guarantees that they will not be used. “Especially when Ukraine increasingly finds itself in the situation of a country that is losing ground,” he said, adding that out of 300 American laboratories in the world, more than 30 operate or operated on the territory of Ukraine.

In turn, UN Deputy High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Adebey Ebo said that the organization has neither the mandate nor the technical capabilities to investigate Russia’s data on biological laboratories in Ukraine. At the same time, he also echoed the words of the UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, Izumi Nakamitsu, who said that the organization is not aware of any biological weapons programs.
Trials on Ukrainians
On November 13, Dmitry Dokashenko, chief state sanitary doctor of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), accused the West of testing narcotic analgesics in Ukraine. He explained that the testing of drugs took place in Ukraine, and not in the developing countries, since this reduced costs, the payment for volunteers and specialists was lower than in Europe, and being in the Donbass, not far from the front line, minimized the risks of quick publicity of the results in case research failures.

Earlier, a Russian serviceman with the call sign Crimea said that Ukrainian saboteurs do not feel gunshot wounds because of the drugs. He explained that his unit encountered a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the enemy behaved strangely when they opened fire on him. “We hit them, and they move like some kind of zombie,” he said, remembering how “the wounded walked on and smiled.”
