The Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, confirmed that working in the country’s real estate sector in professions such as brokerage or developers does not require obtaining university degrees, but rather requires qualification courses to help them develop themselves professionally.
The minister said, in response to a parliamentary question about “the need for colleges or academies concerned with real estate studies,” directed by Federal National Council member Najla Ali Al Shamsi, during the Federal National Council session held this morning: “Offering university programs and specializations is a matter left to supply and demand in the market.” “Work is determined by universities based on several studies of academic data,” pointing out that the National Qualifications Center, which is concerned with providing academic programs and courses appropriate to the labor market, will communicate with the relevant local authorities to approve professional certificates in the real estate sector, whether in brokerages or developers.
