The businessman who reported that he had paid 100,000 euros in cash for the campaign of MEP Luis ‘Alvise’ Pérez Fernández, Álvaro Romillo, has released a video in which he accuses him of spreading lies about him and about the procedure being followed against both of them for an alleged crime of illegal financing of parties in the National Court. «The only thing I have said is the truth, that you are corrupt. And why do I know it? Because I paid you,” he says in the recording.
“I have given you the money and you have told me that you are going to use it to finance your party, to pay for campaigns and in fact you have pressured me,” he says in the tape, to which ABC had access. In this sense, he says that Alvise started by asking for 300,000 and in the end, he settled for the 100,000 that he offered. «Not only are you corrupt but on top of that you are totally corrupt, you are corrupt from Shein, because you are cheap. “For a hundred thousand bucks I have you applauding,” he says.
The businessman responded in this way to the comments made by Alvise on the day of the judicial statement, when the judge had summoned him to come and testify voluntarily because both are being investigated for an alleged crime of illegal party financing, but unlike Romillo, The already MEP enjoys capacity.
At the appearance, as reported by sources present during the ABC interrogation, the creator of the Madeira Invest Club ratified his initial complaint and stressed that he had paid Alvise to cover his campaign expenses. The MEP’s defense cross-examined this matter and the investigating judge, José Luis Calama, cut him off because it had already become clear that he had not given him the 100,000 euros because he was a supermarket cashier, but rather in expectation of “future favors” derived from his political position.
However, Alvise published a message in his Telegram group in which he claimed that Romillo had “collapsed” in court and that a five-minute audio had been played that denied him. «I think you are used to facing stupid people (…) and I think there is something you don’t know about me: I’m not stupid. Don’t touch my balls, the only thing I have said is the truth. What bothers you with the truth? Of course, but don’t attack me with lies because I’m going to dismantle them all for you,” Romillo says in the video.
Neither audios in the statement nor flight to Dubai
He questions what Alvise is going to do when the recording of the appearance is released and it becomes clear that “no audio was played” during its celebration, just as he challenges him to prove that he has fled to Dubai, since on September 28 he published in his channel that Romillo was in that country. He tells him that if he proves it, he will give him “another hundred thousand pavetes.” “So that you can pay for the campaign in Spain,” he adds.
«Don’t you realize that you are stupid? “Damn, aren’t you the guy from international intelligence that controls massive information?” he challenges him, after reminding him that he wrote down in messages and recorded audios that he sent him his need for money for the electoral campaign.
The recording also carries messages for the Madeira Invest Club investors who have been frozen by the closure of this cryptocurrency business that the National Securities Market Commission classified as a “financial chiringuito” last year. Although he asks them for “patience” and encourages them to report if they consider they should do so, he alerts them about the lawyers who are leading the collective fraud lawsuits against them because, he says, they are lying to them.
In this sense, one of the lawyers who leads a group of affected people assures that He asked him for funds for a “pyramid” businessjust as a Wikipedia page shows to demonstrate that one of the Ferraris that according to the complainants have been seized, is the same one that illustrates the review in that online encyclopedia that deals with the brand.
