Genoa – Hundreds of tricolor flags have been posted in the center of Nervi to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the Alpini di Nervi groupsection entitled “Luigi Drago”.
The celebrations have already started on Tuesday and will continue until Sundayincluding all the eastern city.
Saturday 1 October – at 10 am – honors to the fallen are scheduled at the Monuments and tombstones of Quinto, Bogliasco and the cemeteries of Nervi and Sant’Ilario.
From 2pm to 6pm, in Bogliascothe stands of the Civil Protection will be present with demonstrations of the rescue dog unit of the National Alpine Association of Genoa.
In the evening, starting at 9pm thenthe Soreghina and Voci D’Alpe choirs will be staged in the parish church of Bogliasco: singing associations that celebrate forty years of activity.
For Sunday 2 October the Alpine breakfast is scheduled – at 8.30 am – in Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi, followed by the raising of the flag and the deposition of the crown at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi.
From the same square, at 10.30 the departure of the parade through the streets of Nervi with the section fanfare up to the Church of San Siro.
