There’s a new one cartoon movie in progress on Tolkien’s famous creature which is entitled The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrimand has shown itself in these hours in the first images which are quite spectacular.
There isn’t a presentation trailer yet, so these illustrations represent one of the few direct testimonies of this new production, waiting to see something more concrete.
Considering the style adopted in these images, it is unclear whether these are stills from the film or concept art used for the construction of the storyboard and therefore of the definitive drawings of the animated film, but they are nevertheless very interesting and notable-looking works.
Nice illustrations, but taken right from the film?
The particular trait, as well as some stylistic differences between one and the other, they suggest that these are above all demonstrative illustrations, probably used as a basis for the construction of various scenes, but in the absence of further information we cannot yet say anything about their essence.
The fact is that these are truly evocative images, capable of building an atmosphere that seems very in line with the original setting, demonstrating a production made with all the trappings of a passionate creation based on such a beloved subject.
There history of The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War is set 183 years before the events told by Peter Jackson’s film trilogy and will be narrated by Éowyn, played by Miranda Otto.
The film will specifically tell the story of Helm Hammerhand, the ninth king of Rohan and the last of his line, the one who also gave his name to Helm’s Deep. There exit date at the cinema is set for December 13, 2024.
These days, Warner Bros. Also announced the new film The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, with Peter Jackson producing.
