The run will be held on Ramos Sunday, April 13
For the first time in its history, the Bullring of Inca will be the scene, on April 13, of a bullfight starring the legendary livestock of Miura. This will occur almost 100 years after, in 1928, the Miuras stepped on the ring of this Balearic city, although on that occasion it was a bullfight.
The Balearicas Company Change of Third SL already works on a poster that will not be made officially known for two weeks. The celebration of this Corrida is an extraordinary milestone for the city of Inca, which is reaffirmed as a cultural reference in the islands Balearic Islands, and that now intends to be part of the start of the bullfighting season that during Holy Week takes place regularly in the squares of Madrid, Seville, Malaga and Arles.
The Balears spokesman Change of Third, Sergio Galdón, has indicated that “our goal is to recover and promote bullfighting as part of the cultural heritage of our land, respecting tradition and bringing it to new generations of fans.”
Aware of the importance of bringing bullfighting to a diverse audience, the day of the run will previously be held exhibitions on the bullfighting history of the Balearic Islands, educational talks and workshops for the little ones, whose presence in the bullfights was authorized again By the Balearic Parliament last October, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
In that sense, Sergio Galdón has specified that Balears Change of third “wants to promote the union of generations between grandparents, parents and children and that this part of the Spanish tradition and culture is transferred among them.”
“The final objective of the Balearicas Third Change is to organize bullfighting shows in the Balearic Islands with the commitment to preserve, promote and adapt bullfighting to current times, but always respecting the roots and values of this historic tradition,” they indicate in a note of press.
