The classic countdown for the has started 29th edition of The Legend of Bassano – Giannino Marzotto Trophya tourist-cultural event with one hundred highly selected vintage “boats” from 12 nations, at the starting line on Thursday 27 June from Villa Caffo Navarrini to Rossano Veneto. There are many new features in this edition, with the usual attention to the quality of the car fleet and the valorisation of the territory.
The Legend of Bassano: 14 Bentleys …
“With each edition we raise the bar – says Stefano Chiminelli, president of the Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca, the organizing club of the event – this year we will have among the starters fourteen Bentleys. So many, in a single demonstration, have never been seen; one specimen even comes from California.” Another car worth mentioning, the Ferrari 225 S Spyder Vignale: “A fairytale car, ex Vittorio Marzotto, which won the only Monte Carlo GP raced with sports cars in 1952”. President Chiminelli then reiterated the fundamental role of eco-sustainability in the event. “This year La Leggenda di Bassano marries attention to the environment with two important collaborations: Ca’ da Roman, the wine estate of Ca’ Apollonio, creator of zero-chemical wines, and VAIA, the company that from the million cubic meters of wood, coming from the trees destroyed in 2018 by the storm of the same name, had the idea of producing a musical amplifier. An object with a noble soul and an attractive design, which will be donated in a personalized version to each participant. Each gift is associated with the planting of a tree, and the recipient will be able to follow its growth through a QRcode”.

Not only that: during an evocative ceremony in Trentino, they will be one hundred and fifty specimens of red fir from Val di Fiemme were planted, while the Seviane quartet, directed by Maestro Sebastiano Vianello Mirabello, will perform pieces ranging from Vivaldi to Piazzolla. The fir tree planting will help eliminate the emissions produced by cars during the four days of the event. Some cars will be powered by Sustain Fuels bio fuel: a further step towards sustainable use of your vintage car. “We have gathered around the Legend some local excellences, among which we are pleased to mention the new entry Security Lab Italia, a leading company in the world of safety and luxury interior design”, concluded Stefano Chiminelli.
