Storm Reid, the actress of Euphoria and Ava DuVernay’s Wrinkles in Time, will be Riley in the TV series of The Last of Us produced by HBO. The news, learned from Deadline, was confirmed by Naughty Dog, the software house of the video game, which welcomed the actress to the cast of the TV series.
In the game, Riley Abel is a sixteen-year-old survivor living in Boston. He hates the military, whose actions he despises, and supports the Fireflies, whose methods he approves of. In town he meets Ellie, before Joel arrives, with whom he becomes a great friend. Their story was told in the Left Behind DLC.
In the TV series, Ellie will be played by Bella Ramsey, while Joel by Pedro Pascal. Other cast members of The Last of Us TV series are Anna Torv, Merle Dandrige, Nick Offerman, Nico Parker, Gabriel Luna, Jeffrey Pierce and Murray Bartlett.
Storm Reid’s resume is very rich, despite his young age, and includes, in addition to the roles already mentioned, the films 12 Years a Slave by Steve McQueen, Sleight by D. Dillard, The Invisible Man by Leigh Whannell and The Suicide Squad – James Gunn’s Suicide Mission and the mini TV series When They See Us, as well as several other appearances in various series.
