Sharjah snatched fourth place in the ADNOC League standings, by defeating Al Wahda 3-2, in the match that brought together the two teams at the “King Al Sharqawi” Stadium in the Smiling Emirates, after “The King” raised its score to 42 points, which is the same number of points at which Al Wahda’s score stopped. But Sharjah excelled with the advantage of goals, obtaining the Asian participation card in the new season.
Sharjah’s goals were scored by Luan Pereira in the 14th minute, Othman Kamara in the 19th minute, and Caio Lucas in the 73rd minute, while Al Wahda’s goals were scored by Omar Kharbin in the 27th and 92nd minutes, making him the tournament’s top scorer with 19 goals, awaiting Al Wasl’s match, the champion of the season, against Al Nasr, where Lima, the Panthers player, has 17 goals.
The match was strong, especially from Sharjah, which scored an early goal that opened up Al Annabi’s defences, and the second goal came to confirm the home team’s superiority with two clean goals in 19 minutes.
