His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, arrived in the country today on an official visit to the country, accompanied by his wife, Queen Rania Al Abdullah.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was at the forefront of receiving His Majesty upon his arrival and the accompanying delegation at Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi.
An official reception ceremony was held for the country’s guest, where His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan escorted His Majesty King Abdullah II to the podium of honor and played the national anthem of the UAE and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, while a group of honor guards lined up to salute His Majesty and welcome the visit.
King Abdullah II was also received by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei, and President of the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority Hamid Obaid Khalifa Abu Shabs, UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ahmed Ali Muhammad Al Balushi and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei>>
Meanwhile, the Jordanian monarch is accompanied by a delegation that includes: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ayman Safadi, Director of the King’s Office, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, and the Jordanian ambassador to the country, Nassar Habashneh.
