Mexican and world soccer is going through an arbitration crisis. Despite the assistance of the VAR, every week there are blunders that impact the scoreboards. The duel between Toluca and Chivas de Guadalajara, corresponding to matchday 12 of the Liga MX Opening 2022 tournament, was full of controversy.
In this context, the work of the whistler César Arturo Ramos was harshly criticized by the journalist José Ramón Fernández, from the ESPN network. The communicator considered through his social networks that the Sacred Flock was affected by the arbitration decisions.
In his publication, José Ramón Fernández indicated that he had rarely seen such a “blatant robbery” as the one that, in his opinion, Chivas de Guadalajara suffered over the weekend. The communicator indicated that a legitimate penalty was taken from the Flock in favor and a goal was annulled due to a tight misplacement.
Rarely have I seen such a brazen robbery as today’s Chivas by the referee and the VAR. Incredible! Unforgivable! Unfair!
Today they didn’t want me to win @Chivas that easy. #chivas pic.twitter.com/0e9ZixJo2u– José Ramón Fernández (@joserra_espn) September 5, 2022
The match between Toluca and Chivas ended tied 0-0. In this way a streak of three consecutive victories of the Sacred Flock was broken. The team led by Ricardo Cadena is in eighth position in the general table with 16 points, product of three wins, seven draws and two losses.
Throughout the tournament, the arbitration has canceled some goals against Chivas de Guadalajara, which is why both fans and communicators identified with these colors have accused them of being persecuted.
