The Army of Israel announced this Wednesday that it has bombed a school located in Gaza City which housed people displaced by the attacks, arguing that it was being used as a control complex for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
As indicated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) through a statement published on its profile on the social network attacked “selectively and under the direction of Intelligence” to “Hamas terrorists operating” from the Al Zahra school. From there, they allegedly planned and carried out “terrorist operations” against Israeli forces.
For their part, sources consulted by the Palestinian news agency WAFA indicated early in the afternoon that three citizens have died and dozens more have been injured as a result of the attack on said school. In addition, it has reported two deaths in a bombing near the Yemen al Said Hospital, in the Jabalia refugee camp, and two deaths and four injuries in an attack on a group of people in Jirbet al Adas.
Previously, he had reported that a doctor and a nurse have died in a drone attack near Kamal Adwan Hospital, and four more people have been killed in an attack on a home in the Yabalia refugee camp.
The military offensive against the Strip was launched after the attacks carried out on October 7, 2023 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian armed groups, which left some 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped, according to Israeli authorities.
Gaza authorities, controlled by Hamas, have estimated nearly 42,800 dead at the hands of the Israeli Armyto which are added nearly 750 Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli security forces and in attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since that date.
