Minister of Education Kravtsov: the results of the Unified State Exam retakes will be published within a week
The results of the retakes of the Unified State Exam (USE), which will be held in Russia under new rules in early July, will be processed and published within a week. Such terms were given by the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, he is quoted as saying TASS.
“As for retaking the Unified State Exam, this is your proposal, voiced in the message [Федеральному собранию], very positively received. We quickly worked on this issue, and such dates – July 4 and 5 – have already been included in the schedule,” Kravtsov said, addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the government.
The main period of the Unified State Exam in 2024 runs from May 24 to July 5, these dates also include retake dates. The early stage started on March 22 and ended on April 12, after which the reserve days began. Three days were allocated for the additional stage of the Unified State Exam: September 4, 9 and 23.
Since 2024, graduates in Russia have the right to retake one of the Unified State Exam subjects if they are not satisfied with the score. Putin first made a proposal about the possibility of retaking one subject on the Unified State Exam in the year of passing during his address to the Federal Assembly. Repeated attempts for schoolchildren, as he emphasized, must take place before the end of the admissions campaign to universities, so that they have time to submit all documents for admission, taking into account the results of the retake.
The head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, expressed the opinion that a small number of graduates will take advantage of the right to retake one USE subject of their choice. In addition, he added that in the following years, schoolchildren will also retain the opportunity to retake one discipline of their choice.
