His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, arrived in the city of Baku on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, in response to the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the dinner hosted by President Ilham Aliyev, in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation, as part of His Highness’s official visit to Azerbaijan. The banquet was also attended by the delegation accompanying His Highness during the visit, and a number of ministers and senior officials in Azerbaijan.
The delegation accompanying His Highness the President of the State, during the visit, includes His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed. Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs in the Presidential Office, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail. Bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Investment, Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of State Ahmed bin Ali Mohammed Al Sayegh, UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohammed Murad Al Balushi, and a number of senior state officials.
Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the shrine of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan, in the city of Baku, and His Highness laid a wreath in front of the shrine.
His Highness also visited the Martyrs’ Park and laid a wreath in front of the “Eternal Flame” monument.
During his visit to the shrine and the Martyrs' Garden, His Highness was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor Special affairs in the presidential office.
Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by the Mayor of Baku, Aldar Azizov, and a number of senior officials.
