Stoltenberg: strikes on military targets on Russian territory must be allowed
NATO head Jens Stoltenberg called for Ukraine to be allowed to strike military targets on Russian territory. This is what he’s talking about stated in an interview with The Economist.
“It’s time for the allies [по альянсу] consider whether they should lift some of the restrictions they have placed on the use of weapons transferred to Ukraine,” he said.
Stoltenberg stressed that the strategy needs to be changed now, when military operations are taking place in the Kharkov region, not far from the border. According to the NATO Secretary General, since Kyiv cannot strike at “legitimate military targets” in the Russian Federation, it is difficult for it to defend itself.
