In Voronezh, security forces detained the head of IK-2 Zaprudskikh in a bribery case
Law enforcement officers detained the head of correctional colony No. 2 (IK-2), Maxim Zaprudskikh, on suspicion of corruption. This is reported by “Vesti Voronezh” with reference to a source in the city’s legal community.
According to him, Zaprudskikh was caught taking a bribe. The issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe”) is being decided. Details of the plot of the case are not disclosed.
In February it was reported that the court fined the former head of PKU IK-5 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Oryol region for corruption. He was stripped of the rank of “lieutenant colonel of the internal service” and must pay 4.8 million rubles. According to the investigation, on the evening of September 16, 2022, the head of the colony in the parking lot received from the convict a reward in the amount of 400 thousand rubles for a positive reference in order to replace the unserved part of the sentence with forced labor.
