The Ministry of Labor and Social Economy announced this Saturday the activation of several extraordinary measures in order to guarantee the safety of the workers affected by DANA that has devastated part of the Valencian Community in recent days.
Specifically, Labor has explained that all people who have difficulties going to work safelywill be able to use teleworking and those who are not able to work They should not go to their posts of work.
Those people whose displacement may pose a danger to their safety and health or are exempt from going to work. interfere with rescue and recovery efforts of the areas affected by DANA.
Nor will they be required to attend their workplace in person when workers need attend to search tasks of their missing relatives or take responsibility for their death or when, as a result of the loss of their homes or belongings, they are not able to go to work. Likewise, teleworking will not be contemplated for those people who cannot do so due to lack of devices or coverage for it.
In these cases, all workers may be absent and take paid leave. The Ministry of Labor will ensure that no worker suffers retaliation or is harmed. The Ministry of Labor and Social Economy is protecting the working people of our country.
