Enrique Bonilla, President of the World Leagues Forum and President of the Mexican League, opened the workshop with a speech in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE in general, and the Professional League in particular, for the good organization, and said: The meeting is a gateway to exchanging success stories, challenges and future steps that We do it for football, and the participation of 35 leagues around the world, reflects the great concern for the importance of the Forum, especially from the very long distances to attend from South and North America.
He added: Choosing to hold the forum in Dubai, contributed to the arrival of many guests and decision makers and to meet together in meetings and workshops in which we share very important ideas and proposals, and I renew my thanks to the Professional League team for the great effort they made to make the event a success.
The workshop was held with a session on the future of football from the technological side, related to digital money, areas of technological development, and keeping pace with the great steps surrounding the work of clubs and leagues.
Mark Abbott, CEO of the NBA, and Miguel Angel, CEO of La Liga Tech, the company responsible for digital transformation and technical matters for the Spanish League, and Philip Vivre, a sports scientist and economist who works as a manager and advisor in many financial market companies, spoke at the workshop.
Philip Fevere pointed out that the current volume of business in the technological aspects related to digital money makes dealing with it a realistic matter in the long term, and it needs to keep pace with it by taking appropriate steps.
Miguel Angel stressed the importance of the “Web 3” technology that is being applied, in order to obtain the necessary data for fans and communicate with them, and to build rules for long-term work, as the public wants to participate and interact, as long as there is an initiative to interact with them in the correct technological methods, as it was Launching many and varied projects, for example in the aspect of “Metaverse”, and non-replaceable images, and others, and he said: “We found in the “La Liga” that technology is one of the most important reasons for success in sports, and we focused on the matter within our organization, and we must have momentum in Dealing with this matter, because if we want to be among the best, we have to spend more money in this matter, so we created the “Liga Tech” company, which provides its services not only for football, but for many other sports, and currently we are taking steps Merging the present with the future.
Mark touched on the idea of ​​achieving success and expanding further for the competition, which is one of the most advanced leagues in the world.
He explained that the American Elite League seeks, in the first place, to attract more audiences and expand further, on the grounds that they are indicators of success, depending on modern technology, whether “blockchain” or “Web 3”.
He pointed out that the accompanying development of the Elite League imposed the necessity of launching a new league there, which is “Next Pro” in the lower tier, which aims to expand the reach of the American League while raising development to a completely new level, which currently includes 21 clubs and is expected to reach 40 or 50 club soon.
