Still new news for Activision Blizzard that after the accusations of harassment and of predatory behaviors at work, she was kicked out of the show The Game Awards 2021, as a reaction from the organizers to these events.
Unfortunately, the story of the American giant and sexual harassment is one of the saddest pages of the recent videogame news, with countless news and reports of strategies implemented by some employees (even at high levels) towards female colleagues, using a dynamic of power unfortunately as well known as it is disgusting.
The situation has created a real escalation of complaints that are currently still in the process, yet many large companies and organizations are pondering their commercial relationships with Activision Blizzard, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and including precisely the creators of the event of The Game Awards 2021.
The presenter and journalist Geoff Keighley has in fact announced (paraphrasing) on his Twitter profile that there will be no space on the show for companies that are guilty of deeply negative behaviors, since the show should be a place for fun and not for harassment, bullying and silence.
#TheGameAwards is a time of celebration for this industry, the biggest form of entertainment in the world.
There is no place for abuse, harassment or predatory practices in any company or any community.

I also realize that we have a great platform that can accelerate and inspire change. We are committed to this, but we must all work together to build a better and more inclusive environment so that everyone feels safe to create the best games in the world.

Beyond its nominations, I can confirm that Activision | Blizzard will not be part of this year’s The Game Awards
A strong enough stance on the part of the organizers, that for how long symbolic we believe that it is a right step to push as much as possible towards inclusiveness and the reduction (we hope also the cessation in the future) of predatory attitudes. We therefore feel that we fully support the decision taken, and we hope that it will serve as a warning, albeit in a small way, for an internal restructuring of Activision and slowly also of our company.
